Socially Mediated - Participatory Critique of The "Tag Your Friends" Status Update

Nearly everyone that uses Facebook has received one of these annoying posts.  The ones where 5-10 of your friends friends, including you, are tagged in a mindless and pointless post about something or a situation.  And most of the time the title or line you end up with has nothing to do with you or does not fit what-so-ever.  For those that are not a big fan of those take a look at the one I have started:

PARTICIPATORY CRITIQUE OF THE "TAG YOUR FRIEND" STATUS UPDATE:

Look to the Left And tag the First 10 Friends into your status.  No cheating!

Sub Projects Coming Next

I avoid the phrase "Coming Soon" because they are technically here already.  The ideas for these internet and social based projects have been cooking for years now and are finally being set into motion.  I am excited about each project but a few have a special place in my heart and in my Bookmarks Menu.

AudioCollege.  A hobby turned obsession turned addiction turned full-time job.  For years I have been helping people produce music aided by modern technology, and just recently had this manifested into something larger then a website.  AudioCollege is a video-based music production and audio knowledge-base of information, downloads, tutorials, and secrets.

Sound Drive.  The umbrella project for every music, sound and audio project I take on.  Over the past few years I have met so many great musical artists and talents that I cannot wait to write about and feature.  Sound Drive is my mission to bring as much sound to the internet as I possibly can.

Rising Artists International.  My first ever leap into the massive world of internet entrepreneurship.  Within weeks of releasing a basic blog I was writing professional music reviews daily for bands and artists worldwide.  Thus far, RAI is my most successful online endeavor yet and I am very excited to start working on it again after 3 years of this idea gathering cyber dust.  Since closing my previous website down, and leaving a simple contact form up to act as life-support RAI has received over 250 requests for professional music reviews!  RAI has a lot of catching up to do.

About DJL Projects

An ambitious life project designed to make a living from what I love: Social Media, Music, and Parkour.  Every stage of the project will be documented online.  This website is step one.  The rest of the steps are below:

Each is its own website and side project to DJL Projects.  Check out what each is about by clicking the links above.  Or if you want read their description below.

-Follow my journey through social media and get new tips weekly about Social Media for big business, small business, musical artists, professionals, blogs, personal users, and using your skills in social media to make a living.  Everything involving social media will be exposed through Socially Mediated.  For daily tips and updates follow Socially Mediated on Twitter.

-My personal and professional expedition through sound.  This website is for anyone looking to make a break into the industry.  Follow my projects and read and watch about first hand experience in the vast world of audio and sound.  My dream is to become a Sound Designer for Films and/or Games.  My list of skills include:  Sound Design, Foley, Music Composition, Mixing Engineer, Audio Engineer, Mastering*, and DJ'ing.
-Sound Drive will also offer a behind the scenes look into my music side-projects AudioCollege and Rising Artists International.  This is the place for behind the scenes about my music producing alter-ego:  Subcycle.

AudioCollege:
-Your #1 Source for Everything Audio.  This is the place to go for literally everything audio.  Free WAV sample downloads, VST demos, interactive video tutorials, forums, industry tips&tricks and more.  If you make your own music production video tutorials there's a chance for you to become a resident producer for AudioCollege.

Rising Artists International:
-My first leap into the online world of blogs, websites and online marketing and my most successful endeavor yet.  RAI is a music promotion website dedicated to helping musical artists of all genres and fields achieve their dreams no matter how ambitious or laid back.  With new artists featured weekly it is near impossible not to find new music you like.

Subcycle:
-An audio nugget wrapped in gold nestled in a warm bowl of woofer soup.  Subcycle is my music producing alter-ego that is always making noise.  On this website you can learn about my music, remixes and other music artists and DJ's I work with.  This is also a good place to get a live look at Subcycle's yearly event;  Rave @ Dave's, the hottest EDM party by an independent DJ.

Pk Spots:
-A project years from release but this is one to wait for.  If you are a parkour practitioner then you know it is a pain to find a new location to train, or at least a good one.  It is my goal to make this The place to go to when searching for a new spot, or a hidden gem.
